Why shrink your gifs?
Compressing your gifs will help your gif animations and banners load faster by reducing the amount of time it takes a web browser to upload them from a web server. Many banner exchanges and ad server networks also limit the size of the gifs that can be used. Smaller file sizes also save on bandwidth charges.
How does it work?
Gif shrinking works by reducing the number of colors in a gif. Fewer colors means less information, which means smaller files. Dithering helps improve the quality of the compressed file by blending nearby colors together.
